On the one hand, I don't see the relevance/connection of this post to the original.

On the other hand, I don't think that Texas stands out more than any other state for "abusing" kids in the schools, whether through CP or other means.

Texas is known for abusing children in school in the past. Severe paddlings were given to children. It doesn't surprise me that this happened. I was paddled in school but never bruised or welted. I find it rather humorous that the girl got spanked by an officer. That's the least of her worries! I think the world would straighten up if spankings were given instead of a ticket or jail depending on the crime. Children and Young adults get away with too much crap these days. Oh my... a little slap on the hand and they're at it again.. sheesh!.. As for CP, I think it should be in schools perhaps we'd have less shootings, gangs, and other stuff.
