Officer is arrested,
accused of oppression
A Fort Worth police officer has been arrested on an accusation he slapped a woman on her buttocks during a sexual misconduct investigation. Officer Craig Murrah, a six-year veteran, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of official oppression, a misdemeanor, Fort Worth police said. The charge stems from an early morning June 22 incident at Oakhurst Park where Officer Murrah encountered the woman and a man engaging in sexual conduct inside a vehicle, police said. The officer directed the couple out of the vehicle. The 18-year-old woman, who was naked below her waist, was placed in the back of the patrol car. As some point during the officer's investigation, the woman said she was slapped on the buttocks, police said. Officer Murrah, 37, is on restricted duty pending a review by the Tarrant County district attorney. If convicted, he could face up to two years in jail and fines of up to $4,000

Texas is known for abusing children in school in the past. Severe paddlings were given to children. It doesn't surprise me that this happened. I was paddled in school but never bruised or welted. My behind was red after a spanking and stung for about a hour or two. But this is unacceptable. Police officers have a code of conduct. This officer does not seem to follow the rules.

i was paddled at school, and at home. but i would not say i was abused, and i seriously doubt that Texas is the only state known for abusing kids. i seem to recall reading about child abuse, and childrens death because of abuse in a whole lot more states than Texas. sorry, i just resent this post and the implication that Texas is the only state to abuse kids.

Or the girl is comepletely full of it and is looking for a get out of jail free card. That accusation just sounds weak.

On the one hand, I don't see the relevance/connection of this post to the original.

On the other hand, I don't think that Texas stands out more than any other state for "abusing" kids in the schools, whether through CP or other means.
