Sarah, there are different story lines within the series. Dean Michaels prefers the traditional roleplay of the adult teacher and the naughty young student. I do believe he continues to write such stories, even some with new characters. And yes, he wrote some into adulthood with Mary Catherine... he had to. His peices are typically the straight forward disciplinary style. But the other lady (sorry, I can't remember her name) did all of the more romantic and/or edgier peices, with the coming-of-age Mary Catherine getting into the modeling and finding work at The Reformatory, and falling for the young dean. While each story of her's can stand alone, there were issues with characters within them that we never saw resolved.
