Remember the episode where the girls bring beer into the party they are at the apartment after Ann told them not to? That was deliberate disobedience. They were teenagers then, and Ann prefered to ground them then. However, I wonder if that particular incident called for a spanking.

I remember most of those, especially the episode where she spanked Glen Scarpelli 1 single swat with him bent over, with a cutting board improvised as a paddle. He had been skipping school to play Pacman, and the whole episode was about school paddling.
IMHO, I think Ed spanked them with the belt, and Ann spanked on the panties with either her hand or a wooden implement, could have been hairbrush, but I think more likely a ruler. I think both spanked very hard.
Julie got the most spankings, I think, and but both got them just as hard.
I would like to have seen Ann spanking Barbara for her part in pranks on Julie, and with a hairbrush- then her sent to her room.
