Spanking! Is it weird?

Hi everyone. This more for my girlfriend. Why do you like to be spanked? Why do you like to spank? What does it do for you? I told her what it does for me, and why I like it, but I need more input from you. She will let me spank her, but it makes her uncomfortable. I would like to change that somehow. Any advice? She had bad experiences as a kid. Please help me if you can.

Away from my own personal reasons I have an idea of something that may make her more receptive.

Show her how very loving a spanking can be. How it can feel good, be gentle, caring, quiet, erotic, sensual. Show her how it can make HER feel good. Not why it will make you feel good. Seeing her enjoy it, will in turn make you feel good

I always thought I was weird...or sick, as I grew up with this interest from a very young age. Until I discovered the internet and "came out " on the first group I had had only lurked on until I left my husband,. I thought there was something horribly wrong with me. I was so relieved to find out that I was not alone. (I know, this is an oft repeated story!) Is it weird...no...am I weird? Most defintely!
