Hmm, I just assumed he was talking about his hand. I wouldn't know about comparisons. I haven't ever been really spanked hard enough by someone else to know. It was never really to my tolerance. It was more enjoyable and fun, and I wanted it harder. OTOH, I am guessing I would not really like severe stuff with bruising and all. I like the hot red.
