I was 14 and my family was vacationing at Galveston. My 4 little brothers sent momma over the edge ... she chased them out with a belt ... I was being good, bent over (in my swim suit), making a bed when she whacks me and tells me I'd best scoot ... I took the hint and found my sixteen year old summer boyfriend, Robert Fitsgerald, and we found a quiet spot ... kissing and rubbing and talking ... I told him about momma, he said he noticed the mark .... he ran his finger across what I remember as feeling like a light sunburn and gave me a couple quick, light slaps ... and I went BOOM inside ... he left 3 days later and we wrote a bit ... I never told him what he began ... I didn't understood then, and it stuck ....
