Who knows about your kink, or who do you suspect knows about it? How do you feel about that?

Only 1 person knows. I finally took the leap of faith and shared it with my other half only to find out she is repulsed by that. How embarassing to share a deep secret to be shot down. At first I thought maybe she'll come around. It's been many years of dropping hints, but no pants have been dropped yet.

My family has no clue. None of my vanilla friends know either. For better or worse, I prefer it that way as none of them could handle the info from what I've seen. Oh well

I think a co-worker or two might suspect I have an interest, but that haven't a clue to what degree. I work with a building full of women and it is not uncommon to hear playful smacks followed by protests and giggles there. My reaction when I'm smacked "unaware" is a jump then a turning of the other cheek. I always insist that I'm not sent on my way feeling lopsided all day. tee hee. They are always willing to oblige. Now as for the rest of my small little vanilla world...no one knows, nor do I think they would understand.
Yellow, I am sorry to hear that you feel shot down by sharing your interest with your other half. Not being understood is difficult. I appluad your courage and honesty in sharing.

Practically all of my vanilla friends are aware of what I do, and more than one girl always wants a swat or two when the drinks start flowing :D

As open as I am though, I do everything in my power to keep this from my family, even if they do live 3500 miles away.

Well, Rich, not to worry. I mean, it's not like you have your picture spanking beautiful girls plastered all over the Internet, or like you're doing spanking videos for commerical companies, or anything like that. I'm sure that your secret is safe. ;) :D

Well I did tell my best friend I was interested in it one night when we were having a girl's get-together. She was fine with it. I mean it isn't like I have a lot to tell her...just an interest at this point. My best friend would pretty much support me in anything though. She's great.

It's hard to say who else might suspect. I have a tendency sometimes to do stuff just to see if I'll get a reaction. (like I emailed my mom and dad a link to a game called Slap Dat! http://www.slapdat.co.uk/ that is about smacking bottoms...my dad liked it...my mom thought it was disgusting!) LOL

Iggy you wouldn't be a bit mischievious now would you ? It sounds like we would get a long great, lol ;)

does anyone remember guess jeans? anyway in high school one of my friends and i used to slap each others guess symbols...and not just a light tap. she was one of the nicest girls i have ever met and was also a cheerleader, very cute. i remember going to school thinking god i hope emily is wearing guess today. i suppose i am just wondering if she may have been a spanko? she would even bend over slightly for a smack. the slaps were mostly playful but one day she just blurted out that a paddle might work better. of course i was just stunned and a little naive at the time. she then went on to tell me how her mom paddled her and her sister. i ended up saying that i might have to borrow that paddle one day. to which she replied, you can't because it broke in half over my sisters ass. i was just amazed with this girl's openess to talk. i never had to pry. btw this is a very true story and to this day i still think about her and wonder if she was the first spanko i ever met?

A few years back, we had a customer who went out on e-bay and bought up a bunch of different sizes of 80's Jordache jeans, along with their tan vests. He sent them to us, had a bunch of our different models wear them and get paddled with them on!!!

Maybe we should try it with Guess jeans too?

Interesting story about the jeans and vest. I wonder if this means that if I send Gary a package with nothing in it for a model to wear, if we will get that result with his next model?! :D

Hmmm...well, you could send it with Amber and/or Lexi's name on the empty package and just see what happens!

The way I see it, if no good purpose can be served by sharing the information (any information really) why do it? There are after all plenty of people I know and like with whom I would be reluctant to initiate a serious discussion of politics and/or religion for much the same reasons.

No doubt some of my friends and relatives have interests I'd prefer not to know about as well ;)

But Gary & RG.... ehemmm. I don't know if I can fit into a manila envelope, do they come in "one size fits all" ? :D

I took a smiliar risk with similar results. Years later she seems to view it as an eccentricity of mine now and I suspect thinks its not a big deal. But it was a big deal that led me to seek out like minded people. The only others who know are pen pals from a spanking newsletter and the one woman I did meet and played with for a few years.

As a kid and a teen, my best girlfriend knew that I got spanked as punishment by my grandmother. She was also subject to spanking punishments so we had a common ground. But after I had some spanking 'adventures' with boys I could never quite bring myself to talk with her about it, although I did hint about it.

The boys who spanked me in my preteen and teen years (there were three) should remember those episodes, but probably didn't understand that deep down I was, and am, really a submissive bottom. I didn't really understand it then myself at a deep level, and it wasn't until after I met my guy that I everything opened up and was made clear to me. But that still didn't mean that I went shouting it to the mountaintops!

My guy and I are very private in our spanking relationship, which is largely foreplay for us, with some 'therapy" as well for stress relief. I suspect however than my good friend Michelle knows or suspects, although I've never discussed it openly. But she would be the only one, and she would see it as the sexual foreplay that it is.

A few of my friends know. The others suspect. But no family members know about it.

I have hinted/joked around with a few friends...mostly female friends about it. If I date anyone for any length of time I talk about it. I've had mostly good luck with g/f's getting into it to some degree. Spanking and other related activities are deal breakers for me. If a woman is grossed out by it or to conservative to do it etc... then there is no point in continuing a relationship with her.

I have no interest in "coming out" to my friends or family... the thought kind of repulses me. :o

That is really cute that coworkers smack each other at work. Seems that it is common in some women's work places my wife says that too.

My used-to-be-vanilla husband knows, for sure. :D And one female friend; she and I have a discipline arrangement for when we don't work out as scheduled.

Two other people might suspect, though: once a neighbor came by unexpectedly and may have seen some toys we carelessly left in sight. Similar thing happened with grown-up son, but not sure in that case. Taught me to be careful about what I left out!

The wife knows of course, but for her it's hard to miss considering she's the one getting turned over (but we met through alt.com, so definitely she likes). Of my family my brother might suspect but has the tact to keep it to himself. My friends don't know and don't need to know. My mother in law knows how my wife is wired. My wife never officially told her that I do spank her but sometimes drops some hints, so she probably suspects that her daughter has found someone who gives her what she desires.
Of my wife's friends one of them knows, she's a Dom herself and she once asked me if it "works" when I spank my wife (in terms of how it effects our relationship, since she got pissed off with her boyfriend and considered introducing him to certain measures... she never did though and neither did she stay with him). As far as I know non of her other friends know anything.
