Spanking Ban in the UK
Well I would post my favorite sites but I don't think I can. This october britain decided for some weird reason it was going to bring in a violent pornography ban. Although alot of the rules they made seemed fair. They where totally against any kind of porn which had a person hurting another.
This really ticked me off. I can understand there trying to make people safe but to ban everything. I also read you could get three years for just owning a DVD. Lolz I was even concidering moving after this, I am not interested in breaking the law. So yeah I don't know if it is banned or not or if they dismissed the idea. If anyone knows anything else about this please let me know. |
Another hypocritical government action against freedom of expression.
Disgusting... |

If the sites that are your favorite do not mix sex and spanking/BDSM, and just have one or the other, then you should be ok. I used to work for "Bethany" from Bethany's Woodshed (and still have novellas for sale there) and there was a hub-bub a few years ago regarding what "violent pornography" is in the legal sense when she was in the process of starting to make spanking movies. It is the wedding of the two -- "violence" and "sex" that fits in that definition. Both have to be present in the picture/film that is being viewed. While many see a spanking fetish as "sexual" in the vanilla world, if you are just performing the act of spanking in the pics, or in a film, with no overt sexualization, then it shouldn't fall under "violent pornography". If you can get a copy of the law and read it, it should tell you exactly what it is. sarah |

We've found that using handwriting (i.e. no typed labels) on plain padded mailers (the kind they sell at Staples) seems to work best. Additionally, we only print the volume number and not the program title on our DVD surfaces. Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. |

And now... your government is reduced to authoring silly laws such as this. Where did it all go wrong? Then again, things aren't all that much better on this side of the pond either  |

That still leaves a revenue stream (from the business side) and a service (from the customer side) out (i.e. mail order sales). So I think that BS is on to the right answer. It might be a little more work but I think that going to an all-vanilla mailing/labeling system is the next best answer. I wouldn't just make it generic, though (i.e. volume number). That will soon become a flag which will stand out pretty clearly. I would go with full misdirection. Label the DVD's as something benignly commercial, such as "Vacation Guide to Yosemite National Park," with an appropriate DVD art background. A volume number on that would make sense, and communication with the customer up front would make sure they know what to look for. |
This proposed legislation is against what the lawmakers describe as "extreme sexual violence". According to the Home Office consultation document, that is anything which is life threatening or which may cause serious, disabling injury.
Has anybody ever seen a spanking video that severe? |

The point is wether I want to watch a video where someone is spanked or spanked and then has sex with someone. Is not only non of the goverments buisness. It should be perfectly legal. People watch alot weirder stuff not going into any fetish's. I hate the fact we have to suger coat everything. And most importantly I hate vanilla porn. It's like someone once said. You should always see the Truth because the truth is easier to deal with then a lie. It wouldn't surprise me if they then started banning smokers, homosexuals, and fat people. Some of the rules that have come out are disturbing... like I can't have an sm dvd but I can own some wild monkey thats probely been stolen from it's natural enviroment. |

I'm for all adult material being put up for download on the net, then governments would have a very hard time getting in the way of peoples' private business. There will always be a server out there somewhere willing to disseminate adult material for profit.
In Canada you can offer up all kinds of fetish material over the net, and there hasn't been a successful obscenity prosecution I know of, but god forbid you should try to import it (fucking customs...I'm sure I've been flagged...) check this out: http://www.gomorrahy.com/index.htm "A NON-PROFIT, EDUCATIONAL WEBSITE CONCERNING CENSORSHIP IN CANADA" |
