OK, Folks! We have finalized the dates for the Texas All-State Spanking Party for 2008! The dates are April 11-13, 2008, and the party will be held in San Antonio, TX. We have an entire hotel reserved, just for us spankos, so we'll be able to play wherever and whenever we darn please!! The hotel even has an atrium where we can play under the big Texas sky. Maybe there'll be a full moon. (Get it??!! A FULL MOON??!!)

NOTE: If anyone wants to come a day early, i.e. be there Thursday afternoon / evening, we'll organize a trip to the Alamo for the afternoon, and then an evening on the Riverwalk. If you've never been to the Riverwalk, it's a *great* place to spend the evening, strolling the canal, browsing the shops, having dinner at an outside cafe, and having a drink at this great little bar, and then that great little bar. *Let me know if you think you would like to do this. I'll organize it.*

RG and I are still planning on attending!! We can't wait! It will be great to see all the Dallas crew again, and this time with no schooling to think about like last time we were down together in Dallas.

We reserved our room several weeks ago, the same time we reserved a room for FMS. We are really looking forward to some great parties this next year, including finally making it to Vegas for Shadowlane. RG is always being sent out of town for business around the time their party always hits!

Yeah, I'm beginning to think that it must be a conspiracy! And just to make sure that I can't find a way to wiggle around some kind of business trip to slip into Shadowlane, it's been all the way outta the country. I think I might be losing my passport this coming year around September.

On the one hand, Richard, for Texans, going to the Alamo is like going to Rome for Catholics. It's little less than a holy place. And for fans of American history in general, it holds an exalted prominence shared with very few other sites. It would be no surprise, then, to learn that Texans hold the defenders of the Alamo in the greatest esteem and go to special lengths to memorialize them to this day, right down to the individual names. I say that to note that several of the defenders were British and in honor of their service the British flag is flown at the Alamo!

On the other hand, for those less enthalled than myself by the whole history thing, I think that Paully had an excellent suggestion. I will provide a coonskin hat that we will place atop your head, and then in the spirit of all things proper and as a nod to the values of the day of the Alamo, we can have "Davy Crockett" give a right sound spanking to "Mrs. Crockett!"

Now we just need to determine who a suitable Mrs. Crockett will be.

Hmmmm.....

Lord knows ONE of us should be back there to keep her in line!

Texas All-State Spanking Party
 

OK, Spanko Friends, we've finally got some real information about the TASSP.

First thing, though I may have mentioned it before, is the party will be April 11-13, in San Antonio, TX. Contacts for more information are Fred and Lin at rednrod@aol.com, and Brenna at brennatx@hotmail.com. If for some reason you have problems getting them, you can always ask me.

Second thing: the price for our party has actually gone DOWN this year! We were a major bargain last year at $40, but this year it's even less than that! How many things can you say THAT about these days? Rooms are also very reasonable, even if you want poolside. And we'll have the entire hotel to ourselves. Spankings everywhere!! (When the hotel sells out, we even have a close by overflow hotel.)

Be that as it may, I'll be posting 4 separate posts, each with some information. First the basics, then the registration form, then the general party rules, and finally a volunteer request form. (You don't HAVE to volunteer to attend. That's mostly for members who've been before.)

Yours truly will be in charge of the Vendor Fair, so any vendors, contact me for information.

Texas All-State Spanking Party - the basics
 

All State Party 2008

Dates: April 11-13, 2008

Cost: $ 64.95 regular/74.95 for poolside, plus taxes per night
$ 25 per person for the weekend

Theme: Roaring Twenties

Anyone not with our party will not be allowed to reserve a room. The rooms are 64.95 for non-poolside and 74.95 for poolside. If you get a pool side room, it may be noisy as there will not be a "lights out" time for us. Also true about rooms around the party room. If you reserve a room and then discover that you cannot attend, please call and cancel as soon as you know so someone else can have the room or type of room. Smoking rooms are scarce, but you can smoke out on the patios with the door shut. We had to stay in a smoking room at the motel we stayed at last night and we really noticed the difference (now that we are nonsmokers).Start planning now. Save your pennies, this is really one of the least expensive and one of the most fun events of the year. Not that I am prejudiced of course. :)


The party will start on Friday at noon (that's check in) but if anyone wants to register at the hotel and come in early, that is ok, but don't expect to have the hotel to ourselves, no public play that night. We may get together for dinner or something and someone may have play in their room. There is breakfast each day (continental ya know) and Friday and Saturday we will be planning dinner. As new things are planned, they will be added to the files or put into a new file if we can't figure out how to add them to the old one. Anyhow, you can get to it. You are all family and this is just like a big reunion. We will meet new people. If we run out of room, there is a hotel just across the highway. There are places to eat all over, and many will have cars to go on "field trips". Just be prepared to have fun, and to give and receive spankings to your hearts content. See you in April.

Texas All-State Spanking Party - general rules
 

GENERAL PARTY RULES

1) This is a spanking-only party. Many of us enjoy all sorts of wonderful fetishes, but the only type of play that will be allowed in the party areas will be spanking. (This DOES include flogging and whipping the buttocks.) Other kids of play are, of course, allowed in your private hotel rooms.

2) The only type of nudity allowed in the party area is bare bottoms.

3) No sexual activity is allowed in the party areas. If you get lucky, woohoo!, but take it to your private hotel room. (You know, ?Get a room!?)

4) IGNORING A SAFEWORD IS CAUSE FOR REMOVAL FROM THE PARTY. "Red" for stop, "yellow" for "take it easy" and "green" (my personal favorite) for "go! go! go!"

5) Please wear your nametag.It will also less other party goers know what your inclination is (leading to more play), red=bottom, yellow=switch, blue=top, green=non-participant, but will also help us to keep out party-crashers. (It will also be your ticket to the parties, demos, dinners, and vendor fair.)

6) I seriously doubt that there are any bigger show-offs attending than yours truly, but no public play in the lobby. All of the inuendos and teasing are ok, but no spanking. The hallways are ok since it is all us, and the party room. Even the pool and atrium are ok, but no dangerous play, like pushing a non swimmer into the pool :).

7) Do not interfere with anyone else's play. Do make yourself comfortable and watch, but don't involve yourself unless invited.

8) If your are going to engage in role-play, please do, but let some nearby folks know.(Role-play can appear nonconsensual)

9) While alcohol is not against the rules, anyone who is inebriated will not be allowed to play.

10) Any other questions, please ask Lin, Brenna, Sarah, Mark, Tom, Jess, Lyn, Tubaman,or any of the folks who have attended previous San Antonio All State parties. Common sense usually prevails (well, sortof).

Send an email to Brenna at brennatx@hotmail.com to volunteer. Send name, email addy, position and whether you want to help or be the coordinator. Coordinators will be selected by February 1, 2008. If you don’t have experience, volunteer anyway, and we’ll help you connect with folks who know what to do or just think they do. If you don’t volunteer, you will be drafted.


1) Registration- Sit at the door and welcome guests. All money goes to Lin; I forgot why.

Vending- Set up and take down vending area. Contact vendors. Monitor vending. Encourage wanton spanking throughout area.

Carpool Austin- Coordinate car pools. Discourage hitchhiking. See “Catering” - only do it with people.

Mentors- Sponsor new folks who would like some help. Promote an environment in which we appear normal. Don’t introduce them to Tubaman early in the weekend.

Sorority Dorm Room- Organize single ladies in the dorm room(s). Those who do not wish to share a bed, pay half of the room. Collect the money and give it to Lin.

Transportation - Pick up and drop off folks arriving by bus, train or plane, preferably near their arrival and departure times.

Refreshments– Select, purchase and display refreshments in the hospitality room. Coordinate with Lin who has a Costco card. No, I don’t know why Fred would let her have one.

Decorating- On a shoestring budget, we need a 1920s schoolroom for Friday night and a speakeasy on Saturday night.

Mixer Friday Night- early- Create and conduct the meet-and-greet that enables everyone to spank, be spanked, and make new friends. This event sets the tone for this Roaring Twenties weekend.

Catering Friday Night- If we have enough money, we eat after the Mixer.

1920s Schoolroom Friday Night- late- Set up, select faculty and conduct large group role play. We will be using only questions/exercises that would be presented in a grammar school in the 1920s (in the US). We need people to come up with stories, songs, games, etc. from the era.

First Aid Aide- This is a legitimate position held by somebody who doesn’t think Capusin cream in an open wound is a good idea. The decision of the First Aid Aide is final, so this is the one position in which the person actually has to know what he or she is doing and must be available by cell phone, which we can provide. We can run shifts if we have more than one volunteer. No uniform required.

Saturday Events- In preparation for the Saturday night spankeasy, we need volunteers to teach casino gaming, 1920s dancing, etc. In addition, this is when we traditionally have demos before the party.

Catering Saturday Night- Select, purchase, deliver, set up and clean up the dinner which will be from Lin’s Italian restaurant, because she holds the money.

Roaring Twenties Spankeasy- This is the big event for Saturday night. We need volunteers for the large group role play- Casino, Dance Hall, Bar, Entertainment. People are going to be spanking throughout the Speakeasy, so it is not a time for observing like the schoolroom role play.

Roaring Twenties Bust and Court- Think Untouchables. Yes, the Spankeasy will get busted and the miscreants charged with whatever it is that people in speakeasies got busted for in the 1920s. I’m not a researcher, but this is going to be our large group Kangaroo Court. This is a great place to volunteer if it’s your first time.

Roaring Twenties Info- Collect, coordinate and post websites, movies, music, ideas, etc. so that folks can read up on the Roaring Twenties, get help with costumes, learn some of the jazzy phrases used by mobsters, etc. in preparation for the best All State Party ever.

If it’s one thing we do well, it’s play with others. We need all spankos to volunteer, including folks who have not attended an All State Party before. Use the information at the top of the page to volunteer. Thanks, Brenna
