I'm not saying that this movie deserved an Oscar or anything. I just enjoyed that scene...probably because I always liked Jenilee Harrison's look. And I thought she played this well.

I love this philosophy we seem to have that even the worst movie can be somewhat redeemed by one good spanking scene. There's a film called Sorority Babes in The Slimeball Bowl-a-rama (I wish I was kidding) that is one of the worst wastes of celluloid ever.....but Lord what a great paddling scene at the start. Tank seems to be the same way (though I still like James Garner's performance). Note to Hollywood : MORE SPANKINGS!!

Gary I have to remember Jennilee from tank and even a stupid infomercial before Dallas. In that show she ended up working against a true great (but maybe misunderstood) American, J R Ewing. And if you watched that show and couldn't hate that total dork Cliff Barnes...well maybe...oh never mind...anyway wasn't Jenilee great in tank?

Yes BV, that "classic" is worth checking out just for that scene.

Another "classic" that is along the same lines (worthless movie, with spanking though) is an early-70s movie called "Starlet." It actually has 2 spanking scenes in it.

JR Ewing was one of the great characters in TV history (IMHO). He's right up there with classic characters like Barney Fife and Archie Bunker.

And you are so right Paully. Cliff Barnes was a big crybaby whiner...a total "victim."

I think "Starlet" just barely made it to VHS in early 90s. It was a softcore 1970-ish movie with a spanking scene and a whipping scene. The cute blonde brat in the movie was an actress named Shari Mann, I believe.

I have it around somewhere. One of these days when I have a spare hour or so (LOL), I'll try to convert that and see if I can post it someplace.

Lady Jane is my favorite by a long shot. I guess it is the formality of the scene. The gallery, the jester stool, the lifting of the skirt, and all the rest really does it for me. I used to have the movie on VHS and I wore it out just watching that scene. I think what did it for me was the fact that the mother beat her into submission. Of course I would want a better view, and I would want it to be all real.

Agree whole heartedly with the comments about Lady Jane. The first and only time I saw the film was in the mid/late 90's on UK TV. I love history so was watching it because of that (unaware of the punishment) - I was transfixed when the scene happened but way too slow to VHS it (I was also expecting it to end a lot quicker). I've since seen clips/screen caps of it on the internet, looks like its taken from an average quality VHS recording. But I haven't seen it on TV since - a real shame.

I've never heard of Tank - must look out for it.
